HOW AND WHY GABBY WAS BORN.
Gabby was originally developed in Silicon Valley as an aid to professionals who do not speak English as their primary language. Specifically, their challenge was having the confidence to speak up in English; in the digitally-enabled lateral org charts of Silicon Valley, it’s hard to get anything accomplished without “speaking-up”. Unfortunately, there are still many people who are able to read and write in English fairly well, but struggle with actually speaking. Why?
There is a fundamental difference between reading/writing skill and speaking skill. For one thing, oral communication is the most common way to communicate in any language, so it’s really important to be able to do it well.
Years of studying grammar, vocabulary, punctuation, syntax — this is crucial knowledge. If you can craft an email in English, read a book in English, navigate a subway system with signs in English, it does not necessarily mean you can speak English.
Gabby was designed to leverage the internet expertise in Silicon Valley plus high-quality professional English Coaches in various English-speaking centers to help non-native speakers develop the Dynamic Muscle Memory skill for speaking English easily and automatically, building the confidence to win globally.
